Singapore will have temperature more than 31 Celcius. That means more than 41 on the track. Combine it with the fact that it should be a track that should on paper be perfect for Mclaren I will settle for nothing more than an easy 1-2 (Piastri first-Norris second as Piastri has won my appreciation. No offences). Anything less will be a failure in my honest opinion.
It’s a night race don’t forget so no sunlight.
Forecasted night time temperatures are 28 degrees C so track temps will be more like 34/35 degrees C
Just a fan's point of view

Really? I've read that the FIA said that the GP will be under high temperature as the weather report according to them predicts over 31 degrees C. Was the info wrong?

Nope, mandatory driver cooling systems in place for the race.

Saw Sainz saying that the temperature alone is not an major issue, but combined with the humidity, then is a pain. So maybe this is the reason behind FIA decision to declare a "heat race".

What I am curious about this weekend, except the title fight, where for Constructors I expect to be job done by McLaren, is the livery.
As we know for 2022-2024 races OKX came with a special livery. But this year seems there is none. Strange approach in a weekend where world title could be decided. From marketing perspective is not making any sense. Any thoughts on this?

If they win the title, you probably want it showing your actual car, rather than a one off. I guess better for all sponsors.

Thats just a thought.

Last year Norris was in top all of the sessions if I remember correct? More of a slow start this year in fp1. Let’s see if they’re just slowly building up momentum, or if other have catched up quite some. Will be interesting.

Considering Alonso and Leclerc were in front Im confident the team can improve though I cant say Im confident with what I saw on FP1 so far. As I said before anything less than an 1-2 will be a failure on a track that should be perfect for Mclaren though that may be debatable as Im hearing Red Bull brought another upgrade here.

Have any of the McLaren’s took a engine/component penalty yet or expected to later on?
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

I don't think so. It is not expected but who knows. I think it was similar last year, they activated it all pretty early but managed to make it without penalties.

They took their 4th units in Spa which is a while ago, but its really hard to know how they’ve been using older units. If they’ve just been using the newest unit since then I’d expect penalties at some point. Likely however is that they are still using older units for certain races. 7 races to go is quite a lot though, so don’t rule it out. They seem more marginal on this area than previous seasons.

For reference, Spa this year was round 13. Last year they took their 4th units in Italy (round 16).

last year they also introduced their penultimate ICE with 13 races to go, so I guess they should be okay - or Piastri at least. No idea if Norris' unit from Zandvoort is still fully usable.

Here's the table from this year - only showing the introduction, of course. Exact details are not available

They’ve probably ended the development of the MCL39 a bit too early it seems! Red Bull are ahead and Ferrari seems on the cusp of catching up…
