If they give Max a cheap 5th title after having the best car and leading most of the championship they better hide from shame. I wont hesitate to crucify them in critisism even though its my favorite team. Its do or die as there might not be another chance soon with the new rules and everything.Im waiting for FP2 for them to show something.

Last year Norris was in top all of the sessions if I remember correct? More of a slow start this year in fp1. Let’s see if they’re just slowly building up momentum, or if other have catched up quite some. Will be interesting.
FP1 no.

Right, thanks!

The RB floor upgrade seems to have arrived a few races too late. They lost too much points from Silverstone to Zandvoort. 69 points is just too big of a gap. It requires a Piastri DNF and an additional big loss (e.g. due to engine penalty or mistake) and issues on Norris side as well.

I didn't watch FP1.
However, from a quick look at the FP1 data, the McLarens seems to be carrying a lot more fuel load than the Redbull, in their Q runs. I don't think McLaren fans need to panic, this should be an easy 1-2. Ferrari and Alonso were on higher power modes and were glory running. Race sims in FP2 will give a much clearer picture of where things stand.

If you look at telemetry RB is not losing much anymore in low and midspeed. This was totally different in all highwing circuits we have seen this year. See Hungary telemetry for example.

It is clear this upgrade is working. Whether they are fastest on these type of circuits we don't know yet, but it is likely with this upgrade Max would have lost less points to McL in the presummer break period.

PU elements used per driver up to now #SingaporeGP
yeah, what I meant to point out is that it's not known which unit was used at which weekend. In races like Hungary, Zandvoort or also this weekend, it can very well be an older one, as those tracks are less power sensitive.

I might sound like Doom and Gloom but I prefer to be a realist and not take anything for granted . For the first time I dont feel comfortable of the WDC as Red Bull has had plenty of upgrades. Who's to say they havent improved dramatically? Can you be 100% sure that Mclaren has it in the bag? Until the fat lady sings it's not over.

Much better FP2 but still not enough. Max will find that extra tenth. Due to his experience and his constant simulator usage (Piastri is the same but is missing experience only) he has that ability to try and squeeze everything. Anyone here has engine modes of each competitor?

It was a mistake, they recalled and corrected the doc, car 4 called to talk about unsafe release of car 16.

And then people wonder why I call the stewards clowns sometimes. All that technology and they are still making mistakes to something basic.

On other news. Do we have information about race pace and engine settings on FP2?
