The site is slowed to a crawl once again. 2500 users online. Maybe the whole forum should be made visible only to registered users.

I was testing a script to auto-enable and disable the Attack mode of cloudflare, and it had a bug

My apologies.
Script seems to run well now and will enable Attack Mode if server load becomes a bit too high for comfort.

I can adjust the triggers, so still evaluating.

It's terrible man.
But it's widespread. You can see on many sites these days this cloudflare page before you can access. Clearly many sites are crumbling under load without this protection.

My aim is to tune this script so this interstitial is not needed when the server is handling everything nicely but as soon as there's high load it gets enabled for x minutes.
So yesterday it didn't work.
Overnight script works fine but I see that every time after disabling under-attack-mode, it gets enabled again within a minute or so. I'm still tweaking the triggers a bit, but it shows the issue.

I think these issues have also driven some people away, so it will take a bit of time to recover from this shitshow

Sorry for asking but why the need for the script to enable and disable the protection? I don't believe there is a single guy here that has problem with the cloudflare page showing when you first coming in the forum.

Even if you don't mind, it's always better if you don't have to go through that page.
So at times when it's not needed I don't want it to disrupt any visits.

I guess it's also called "under-attack-mode" for a reason.

Should be fine now.
Acceptable load an no triggers of UAM mode since yesterday afternoon...

Feel free to alert if anything seems unusual.
