Track probably does suit Mclaren. Can't do much about Red Bull bring more and more upgrades.
How come Red Bull hasn't reached the limit of their budget considering that they brought more upgrades than Mclaren? Is there any last minute upgrade being prepared to at least help our drivers defend that 1-2 they have so far?
Red Bull will be taking budget away from next year for this year.
Red Bull are ‘all in’ for Verstappens 5th title
Can you swap budget between years, or just means less development into next year, if still focus on this year.

Either way they've got out of tge rabbit hole they dug themselves into.

See what I mean? Red Bull is now on equal terms or maybe slightly better as we are in a track that should suit Mclaren. I'm not confident with what I see so far. Definately not when we struggle against Mercedes.

It isn't a perfect Mclaren track for this car, but it is a good one.

Max looks to have the advantage, but I've a feeling that we are hiding some pace today.

Compared to recent tracks, this should be better. We shoukd be competitive though.

But, not much they can do id Red Bull have suddenly unlocked something.

They've won 70% of the races so far. Yet people still seem to think they've underperformed

Mclaren has definitely done a good job so far winning 70% of all races but they should keep going with an upgrade or two to help our guys cause the game is not over yet and Max is a bloody good driver if you give him a car that is better, equal or very close to Mclaren.

I say: brace yourself for a sub optimal result and the hysteria afterwards.

Like Jenson said during commentary, Oscar and Lando can not afford to put it in the wall with it all to lose and everyone else has it all to gain
Just a fan's point of view*

*statement was relevant when the forum had a high level of intelligence. Now we are just equals.

Let's see what they can do. I'm afraid that the car of Red Bull became the better car with all these upgrades. Let's see if Mwillems is right and we hide some more pace cause if Max gets first place there is no way to pass in Singapore. We are talking about a lot of upgrades from Red Bull (new engine cover, floor, floor sides, front wing, rear wing).

Did I say 1.29.9? Scratch that. We need a time close to 1.29.3 to 1.29.4 and I don't see if there is so much hidden pace to get lower than what we can at the moment. Mwillems I hope you are right cause the stats so far are going for a sub optimal result.

McLarens on used tires in Q2 very close to Max.

New tires don't look like a big difference.

I'm not sure what more they can do. I think they are giving it their all but Mclaren doesn't seem to able to reach that 1.29.5 low. They can't seem to be able to be top 3 at the moment.

The best thing for Mclaren is Merc turning up.

Yeah, if Max doesn't beat Russell.

Sorry Lando fans..
But time to prioritise Oscar in the WDC..Else we risk losing the WDC

The Red Bull is officially the fastest car now
You don't win WDCs being the second fastest car, or second best in terms of execution
Whatever the reason for the rest catching up is beyond our control...
What is within our control is to execute perfectly until season end.

Not sure the cars got worse, just others, have been able to catch up.

If Oscar wants the title he can fight for it. No need to prioritise any one.

I agree. Time to prioritize Oscar for the WDC. So good overall final result. Russell is gonna go for the win and Piastri can try and do damage limitations. 2nd to 3rd is only 3 points. Mclaren has to bring upgrades as Mclaren have been caught up and today they were surpassed. 3 tenths is a lot. Personally I wouldn't mind if Mercedes gets some wins as long as they keep them from Max.
