Nah, he needed 0,17s I think, and Russell's final sector on his pole lap wasn't that good, so it could have been very close.

Agreed, but still not a smart move by Lando, his primary championship fight is with Oscar, not with Max.

Nah, he needed 0,17s I think, and Russell's final sector on his pole lap wasn't that good, so it could have been very close.

Yes my mistake, he around 2 tenths down after sector 2. But either way, he wasn't impeded and he made a mistake in the chicane similar to Leclerc at Canada who tried to blame Hadjar.

Looks like Mclaren lost alot of pace the last couple of races. Rb solved some issues, but Mclaren lost a suspicious amount of pace.....

Thats not what im seeing, and huge amount of pace and tire advantage is lost. Its not just some cautious driving.

Piastri was faster than Norris' pole time from last season by 0.001 I believe.

Cruising on the racing line 2 seconds in front, giving him dirty air

Max also overcooked it in the chicane. It was a nothing incident and as per usual, GP was on the blower immediately to hand out the excuse for him.

Lando sped up and took the final chicane at some speed about 2 seconds ahead of Max on his push lap, that obviously generated dirty air for Max who then locked his inside tyre going into the corner, presumably because he lost downforce. In all likelihood it wouldn’t have mattered for the grid order but it was totally unnecessary from Lando.

I gathered some data, and hopefully they are as accurate as possible




1. Both Ferrari drivers went for a lower DF setup for the race, or did they run their PU in lower modes until qualy
2. There was a debate about why the SF25 car didn't improve between Q2 and Q3, but it seems to be in line with the progress other teams are making
3. NOR said they struggle with the front tyre grip, and HAM was moaning about his slow lap due to improper timing out on the track and thus losing some 4-5 degrees at the rears, and couldn't bring them up to temperature through the entire lap, LEC saying he had no grip and a poor rear which didn't give him confidence to attack and so on ...
4. On Sky F1 Italy, they showed ANT`s front wing flexing way more than they think it`s allowed now after the Barcelona race, and concluding that the W16's good form and balance here in hot conditions could be due to this trick again ...
