I think the next few races will be very interesting as, in the previous 2 seasons, they really do seem to have suited Lando more than Oscar, but Oscar has already shown this year that he has now managed to improve on circuits that he was weaker (though by no means weak) on last year.

Apologies SilviuAgo as I didn't set out to criticism of your post .... but did use it as platform to amplify the scenario.

I really look forward to a tough competition between these two drivers as the can truly establish their worth in this contest.

I hold no illusion that it will most certainly have contentious points coming in the races run out to the end and ultimately the driver's championship. It would be good if it makes the season memorable too.
No need to apology, is a fair talk and your opinion is welcome.
As also mwillems and WardenOfTheNorth said this last 6 races will be, I hope, something to remember between two drivers that need to squeeze any last piece of pace, determination and skill to be P1. And now with Max feeling that he has chances for the 5th, the battles will be more intense. I really can wait USA to add another (important) piece to this puzzle that 2025 is. Maybe the image for WDC will be more clear or maybe not and the blur will increase :roll:

And found an interesting post regarding top 4 evolution in the ground effect era.
-> McLaren went from 130 pts after 18 rounds in 2022 (less than Alpine!) to 650 in 2025 - biggest jump came in 2024
-> The 2022 “tractor” Mercedes W13 remains the best-scoring ground-effect Merc
-> Ferrari has been inconsistent; 2025 is their worst ground-effect season
-> Red Bull likewise: just 290 pts (down from 706 in 2023).

Saw this myself.
‘Unstoppable rise’ it has a nice ring to it doesn’t it?
Possibly with the points tally when we get to the end of the season, the line plotting Mclarens points total over the seasons could be a nice straight line from the end 2023 to end of 2025.

Awesome.

The value of evenly matched drivers. Looking at the gaps especially between Mercedes and Red Bull teammates, those cars are better than they appear on the Constructors table.

Yes, only the best driver should be taken in to account when presenting data like above.

Allow me not to agree. Formula 1 is a team sport and when you are talking about Constructors you require 2 drivers. Now, that one is better than other or one is performing ahead his team-mate that is another story. But when you count the points you count it for two.
Indeed what is happening at RB with second seat is something hard to explain, but is not McLaren's problem. Is the second year with more than 600 points and Lando and Oscar are not two top drivers pushing each other like hell.

I agree. Building a car that allows both drivers to compete at their best is something that should be commended.
