I wonder what the noticeable and ongoing internal consequences are? Papaya rules enforced and reinforced it seems. The gloves are back on and everyone is friends again

My wild guess would be that from now on there will no (or exceptional cases only) team orders benefitting Norris.

All the past incidents in isolation are fully understandable, but overall the balance is off towards Norris. In hindsight the Monza team order has skewed things. So you don't want that to be skewed further, also not to possibly taint a Lando wdc if on a few points difference.

I don't agree with that. I think that the orders did not favor Norris but the results did. My point is that they were fair but circumstances were such that the result ended up favoring Lando, from his lucky gambling strategy to being unlucky with being undercut due to pitstop mistake.

But I do think that they will probably minimize it going forward, much less drama. Unfortunately this means that a third party (Max or others) can use this to gain an advantage on our duo because they will be super focused on covering each other.

I suspect that Lando has no leeway or benefit of the doubt remaining. He's used his wildcard and anything similar from him again will result in on track consequences.

They've really backed themselves into a corner here.

Its seemingly looking at the outcome regardless of the reason.

Was Landos move over the top, not really. We've all seen much worse unpunished on lap 1 opening corners.

I accept the team are trying to be fair, and the decisions are all understandable. The Monza swap probably did leave a bit of sour taste within the team.

What is the corner?

The team have said nothing apart from Lando was at fault but it was racing, but they dont want to.see the cars touching.
Lando has suggested consequences designed to prevent it happening again.

This is standard fare as far as I am aware.

Of course tgey don't want cars touching, but sometimes they will, not everything is a fault.

If Lando is caught, and hits Oscar when up next to him, is that blame on Lando. Or vice versa.

I get dont hit your team mate, but not sure it should negate any risks trying to overtake him.

I think what a lot of people are missing is that it was Norris who chose to bring this to public light. I'm sure their plan was to keep this in house.

Things are getting spicy I think.

If you aren't in full control.of your car and had a strong risk of taking yourself and others out, as in this incident, there is fault.

I liked it, it was good racing. But the team are not spectators, they do not want their drivers to cause that, especially if both our guys take each other out and let Max right back in.

They want a Mclaren WDC and the drivers need managing so they dont destroy their own chances.

At least if we'll have a 7 seconds pitstop for Lando in Sunday's main race will know why :D

Medium to Medium-High rear wings in Austin - with some quirky choices!

🟠 McL: deep but narrow lower-plane spoon, focusing on the most efficient central section (compare with 🔴 Ferrari’s)

🔵 RBR & ⚫️ Merc: very cambered lower plane. Note the extreme leading-edge angle of attack! The central section extends forward and upward to increase load

Least loaded wings? RB (skinniest upper plane) & Williams (skinniest lower plane).

Less load = tougher time heating the C1 tyre!

Whatever they do they better make sure one of our drivers is the champion at the end of the year and with a big difference as there are already jabs at our team by other fans naming it the Championship of the Mids.
