Whatever they cooked after Spain has really changed this car. Good job by the technical team.

We might get a few more wins this year :)

I preferred P2 starting spot here.
It doesn't turn.

Yes pole is difficult here but both McLarens will be worried about each other. And any funny business in the sprint will only make a Sunday boilover even more likely

It's also psychological. Red Bull being faster than McLaren even by a small margin will be enough for Max to win. Added pressure on the McLaren drivers and Piastri's run of form now looks done.

The most important thing at this stage is to keep the pressure on those two and see what happens.

0.380 sec faster than Piastri, that's a considerable gap. It's an excellent weekend to gain lot of points on Piastri, both in the sprint and the race, Norris can do similar pace tho.

From what I can decipher, Max's car will have more race pace than Mclarens & hence he wouldn't be bothered about leading into T1, and will be able to pass them in the back straight.

Unfortunately Ferrari is nowhere to be found and Russell does Russell things with his run plan. A 4 tenth gap would normally be enough to put a few cars in between, but not today. Piastri’s mediocrity continues to go mostly unpunished.

Mega job Max, wow. The car was mega through the S1 in the high speed section, very nice rotation. Also I was suprised with that S3 pace, the tyres survived through the lap into the last corners. Which could mean tyre-deg is good, and this was on the soft compound tyres...

Sorry what? If Max ends up behind those Maccas he’s never getting back past. This is COTA 2024 all over again, lead from the front and rely on dirty air to protect you from cars with better degradation behind. McLaren is going to have the best race pace because they always do, especially when it’s hot.

If Max wins both races this weekend in those hot conditions on pure pace, Woking better send some prayers 😎

Hopefully it's like Monza. Verstappen pole by very small margin, but significantly better race pace.
