I didn't hear that though. Pretty sure he said they made changes after the sprint.
He said it in his F1TV interview and the press conference.

They did make changes but no major ones. The main thing he changed on his side was something "related to his driving style" not sure if that means his own driving, or something in the car to better suit him.

Vasseur also said they didn't make that many changes, he thinks the difference is the tire prep not the setup.

If the strategy is right we can win.
I for one would like to know what makes you think that, based on the evidence you’ve seen this weekend?

Yes, qualifying went well, but what makes you think it won’t be another race of Extreme LiCo for both drivers as of lap 2? They might’ve had decent pace in the Sprint, helped by the fact they didn’t have to worry as much about plank wear/LiCo, plus half the drivers in front of them playing bumper cars…

Hope you’re right, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Russell and Piastri get past without too much hassle. Hope they keep Antonelli back at least…

It looked like they decided to not send the drivers out at the same time to minimize queuing time in the pits. Charles seemed happy to queue up, but Lewis specifically waited till the last moment to leave the garage.

It seems obvious, something Max does every qualifying session. The problem for Ferrari is that it disadvantages one driver over the other, something Max doesnt have to deal with. It looks like Charles accepted the hit for the sake of testing and moved on.

Leclerc usually goes out early, he's said many times this season he thinks it's more important to get a lap down than try for track evo. With all the rookies and some unpredictable cars red flags in Quali have been common, so I get why he would think that. It's probably him volunteering it.

Russell and Norris also tend to go out earlier rather than later.
