On a serious note, no one is talking about the Austria DNF (no fault of Max, no fault of the engg/crew, just bad luck) and the Barcelona blown-fuse anger move that must have cost, what ? 20 points in total ? How crucial is that going to be ? Everyone talks about the DNFs of Mclaren drivers, but this doesn't get mentioned.

You can't think like this because if Max had been closer earlier in the year (no Miami sprint pit stop fail, finishing in Austria, no Spain, no P3 to P5 in Silverstone, etc etc) then Mclaren wouldn't have stopped developing their car. I think the cars are basically on par right now and Max makes a critical difference which is all that is needed. If Mclaren kept upgrading then they would have continued to have a much quicker car, which would allow their drivers to still win races easily.venkyhere wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025, 23:37The T-Rex is coming...

There are two things that can point toward that:
No. Red Bull found more pace.
Lol putting team on blame for Mad Max to crash into Russell is insane. Verstappen definitely was an embarrassment that day.PierreW wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025, 23:42Set up related under the rain.CjC wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025, 23:40Max spinning round in Silverstone too.venkyhere wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025, 23:37

What can be regretted is only the Barcelone situation, where the team pushed him to the anger point and made a mistake by asking him to hand the place without any reason. The Kimi torpedo is one of the unfortunate thing that can happen when you start around the 6th place.
Or maybe Red Bull have just done some good engineering and caught up to a static target.

usually there are rumours when things like this happen. I think McLaren simply stopped development whereas Red Bull (and Mercedes) kept improving their cars, at the same time Piastri faded away after Monza papaya harakiri, and there you go
It was a Red Bull strategy error and then a Red Bull rules understanding errors that enabled this problem. I can't blame Max there, a lot of people would have been mad, especially when they were just pushed by their opponents.f1isgood wrote: ↑19 Oct 2025, 23:48Lol putting team on blame for Mad Max to crash into Russell is insane. ~25 points were lost overall. 15 because of Max errors is how I see it.
