Assuming that things continue like this but they usually never do.
I'm still backing Piastri at this point.

But Max's form, and RBR seem to have gotten to the bottom of the cars issues are a bit of a concern. The last thing I think I would assume is that Max isn't capable of it. Lando's formed too has been very good.

I think Oscar will do enough to take the WDC, but its the first week I have had Max as a genuine threat

McLaren got WCC already. Are they sabotaging Piastri now? Suddenly he can't match Norris at all and doesn't feel good with the car?

With 5 races left, 2 sprints and arguably the fastest driver/car package max can easily win the WDC.

The scrap between the mclaren drivers will cost them. They both thought it was only them in the running until it was too late and now max has serious momentum.

Oh, no! Not Lando’s precious alignment tape.

This is more what I would call “cheeky”. Sort of like “accidentally” throwing a bit of dirty air towards your rival on a Q3 quali lap.

Anyone else thinks Lando was uncomfortable in yhe cooldown room? I get that he is a bit timid as a person, but him and Max don't seem to be best buddies much this year.
Did you hear the comment in the end? "Would be nice if it would be easier" or something like that

Nice try but the "precious one" is in a team with blue cars and a bull on it:

But I will not start a polemic on this topic cause all the real F1 fans know nothing was in Singapore.

Honestly it's unsporting. Just as blocking and making yourself intentionally "dirty air" another's run. But at least for such cases stewards have methods to give a penalty and you run some risk of being penalized if they deem you to have been blocking in qualifying.

I guess the rot was not just at the top in Red Bull, it's institution wide.

If Lando did anything wrong in Singapore he would have been punished by the stewards- kind of like Red Bull were in Austin.

I’ve always been of the opinion that the “Horner is/was liked by RBR staff” as an inditement on the staff rather than a support of Horner’s character

Personally I can’t wait for when Max is on an in-lap and Lando comes pushing behind. We’ll see just how “real” Macca fans are then about this kind of thing. As for the Leclerc situation there’s obviously no comparison. Max was racing to make the clock, there was no intention to sabotage Leclerc. Getting out of his way actually cost him the lap.

Anyways, this whole tape thing is giving me “driver aid” vibes. An F1 driver should be able to park his car in the right spot without external help. The FIA should ban it.

Red Bull haven’t received any punishment relating to tape  Read the FIA document. It’s a simple grid infraction. The tape thing is irrelevant, because removing it (or adding it) isn’t against the rules.

You can call it “pathetic” or “unsporting” if you want, as I will call what Lando did. But neither one is technically against the rules.

As we've said here, stewards are free to punish Lando (or Max) if they impede in qualifying. That is clear.

How would you feel if McLaren mechanics went out at removed pit position markers from Red Bull box? Or just changed their orientation?

It is clear what is normal and what is being intentionally unsportsmanlike. Removing anything that the other team put that is allowed (and doesn't affect anyone else) is not acceptable.

I think it's funny, McLaren putting tape on the pitwall, Redbull removing it, McLaren trying different sorts of tape etc.
Billion dollar business but this makes it more relateble.
