Well that's how it goes. Piastri made a reckless move in the sprint that caused a double DNF for McLaren. It would be strange if Norris had repercussions for rubbing wheels after that.

They should just be hush about it.
The team were hush, werent they,? Wasnt it Lando that talked about it and then the team were asked after Lando casually dropped it.
I am glad that Lando spoke about it, cause first was not fair to have "repercussion" for that Singapore thing and second, is better for the fans to know also this aspects specially that they (McLaren) are speaking all day about fair fight and free to race politics.

ps: I still don't have the images with MCL39 in Mexico but this cooling on SF-25 looks huge. Curious if McLaren will have something similar, the team being known for his cooling efficiency.

More upgrades for Max. I hope Stella has judged this right… they got it over the line last season by the barest of margins points wise. Looks like who ever wins this WDC will do the same.

For a McLaren driver to win the title, it suffices for the said driver to get P2 in the remaining events. So a McLaren WDC is fully in McLarens hands. McLaren will at least be 2nd best car in remaining races if the drivers don't make big mistakes. Perfection isn't needed, just basics.

Each to their own. It didn't bother me.

The bolded part is only true for Oscar. If Oscar finishes second, to Max, in all remaining events he will be WDC with 3 more points. Just one 3rd place finish in a GP, instead of 2nd would give Max (if he wins all remaining events) the WDC on countback.

If Max is perfect, Oscar also has to be perfect, otherwise Max is WDC. If Max is perfect, even perfection from Lando can't stop Max from becoming WDC. (In fact if the finishing order was Max, Lando, Oscar in all the events from Mexico to Qatar Max would be exactly 4 points ahead of both Oscar and Lando going into AD).

Will McLaren be at least the 2nd best car in Vegas? That seems far from certain. It's certainly possible they are in the top 2 though.

It was simply a mistake not to have last minute upgrades. Now they can either protect Piastri's lead by making him at least come 2nd for the remainder of the events or they can kiss the WDC goodbye.

Piastri may not be capable of coming in P2 for the remaining races judging by his form. Lando is my pick for the championship from 14 points back.

And yet Lando might not have enough points to keep his lead till the end unless he wins somewhere by sheer luck or maybe makes the driving of the century which might be hard without some help from the team.I knew it was a mistake not to have upgrades for the last part.

Oh man, when I see your optimism and trust in Lando or Oscar, life looks way better. Relax, you or we can not change a thing. So, as Stella said, embrace it 🤭🤭

The MCL39 plateaued in aerodynamic efficiency.

For sure, but the car is still there for the job to be done.

Again nothing significant in FP2.
