Aston Martin targeted by new FIA investigation for budget cap breach…
They say it is a « minor breach» but as it is another one following the one in 2022, I hope they don’t get a penalty that could compromise 2026..
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought I read somewhere it’s only a procedural breach and they won’t face any financial penalties because the person who did the audit was sick and couldn’t sign it on time?
True it was a procedural issue (they didn’t actually overspend) but Aston Martin had to pay $450 k for that issue. I believe the signature story is speculative.
Ok let’s see but should be fine I hope. That interview with Enrico Cardile is really good. He comes off as such a chill humble dude that has a lot of respect for Adrian, Andy and co.Nikosar wrote: ↑25 Oct 2025, 14:24True it was a procedural issue (they didn’t actually overspend) but Aston Martin had to pay $450 k for that issue. As for this current situation regarding the 2024 submissions, nothing has been confirmed yet ( they say it will be Aston Martin but not confirmed ) everyone’s waiting for the FIA to publish its findings.
Fingers crossed. We will see.
This is one legacy procedure I hope goes away soon. Scrubbing the tyres does nothing to increase its longevity and eats practice time. I do not know why Aston Martin continue to do this year after year.
Listening to Cardile on the podcast I got the impression he’s the one evaluating if people like Krack are doing good enough. I guess we’ll find out next year if Krack is still there
Dude you so obsessed with Krack, do he owe you money ??
From what both drivers said, we should not expect much from this weekend, it will a long test weekend for Aston.
