Leclerc and Norris have a new set of softs since they only used One in Q2.
If I were LEC I'd risk to redo the same Austin tyre and race strategy, bearing in mind that here is an 1-stop race, he starts on the first row but most of all for that he could be aggressive in turn 1 (which he previously did in the past, btw.), something that LAN couldn't afford to do in the eye of conquering the WDC.
Another reason that LEC could start on the softs is due to the fact that most of the top teams will start on the medium tyres based on their race simulation saying that the optimal race strategy is for a long first stint on medium tyres in order to maximize a potential of a SC or VSC phase at the beginning of the race. But most of all they prefer to start on the mediums due to better tyre management on high fuel and particularly for the MCL39 due to outstanding tyre management in hot track conditions although with just one caveat: they need to run in clean air as we could easily saw in Austin! So had NOR lose track position/positions after T1-T4 he must regain that/those as soon as possible...
And last but not least, in order parts of the world there's a saying which says: when there are two battling the third will prevail! So who knows what an old fox could do here...

On another note, at Friday FP in Austin both LEC and HAM run some flowviz on their main plain rear wing and the beam wing... bearing in mind that since the summer they stop upgrading the car could it be just track related changes or updates? or could it be minor upgrades for the upcoming (similar to Austin) 3 medium to low DF races such as: Brasil, Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, meaning they striving for the 2nd spot in the WDC after all?
