Not sure I agree. In Austin they had a car to win.Emag wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:44Well at the hands of Lando the MCL39 looked like a MCL39 for the first time since Zandvoort. Hopefully they found something to keep it competitive in the remaining races. The performance was fizzling out these last couple of grand prix, it was starting to look like a P2-P3 car.
Win? Sure, probably by holding P2 off the line. Big IF though, because you had to overtake Max on-track too. I was talking about total domination though.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:47Not sure I agree. They had no data from sprint and only a short FP1 to get data. With the sprint they would have had a good chance to win.Emag wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:48Win? Sure, probably by holding P2 off the line. When you run with a Sega Mega Drive, you run with Blast Processing.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:58Great work by the team. Norris did a mega drive but this once again shows this really is "clear air" formula. Whoever can get clear air for a while will win.
Max made a great damage limitation drive, good job.
Piastri was too cautious and needs to realize he won't win this championship by being hesitant. He needs to be aggressive in overtaking, especially against uninvolved people. They know you have a faster car, they know they will be overtaken, just pull the trigger and make them decide whether they want to crash. This is what Verstappen does and it is why he can slice through the field.
