Well Ocon looked like he didnt get the memo. And a small contact can end a race at anytime.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:58Great work by the team. Norris did a mega drive but this once again shows this really is "clear air" formula. Whoever can get clear air for a while will win.
Max made a great damage limitation drive, good job.
Piastri was too cautious and needs to realize he won't win this championship by being hesitant. He needs to be aggressive in overtaking, especially against uninvolved people. They know you have a faster car, they know they will be overtaken, just pull the trigger and make them decide whether they want to crash. This is what Verstappen does and it is why he can slice through the field.
Now let's go and dominate in Brazil to crush WDC dreams of Red Bull.
That is why it is critical to be beat Verstappen in Brazil. Las Vegas could go his way and if the gap is not significant, that is a lot of pressure.michl420 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 00:03They also had the fastest car in Singapur, but in dirty air it is usless. I actually think Piastri was the second fastest car and I think he drive good. Race pace was surprisingly good. They must keep finishing around VES or in front. I fear Las Vegas. They can finish easily 6-8 there.
What I like the most about current situation is that both cars are ahead by 35/36 points to Verstappen. So if one of them has an unlucky DNF hopefully the other one can carry the torch and take the WDC.
He was handed a WDC on a plate though. Don’t feel too sorry for himEmag wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 00:07Brazil should be good, but if it rains then it's a Max-biased dice roll
Vegas probably will be bad, so damage limitation there.
Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, unless they DNF, it should be podium at the very least.
So it's down to the next 2 races basically.
As for Max, I think he was robbed today honestly. Mega drive and that VSC at the end was a joke.
I agree that VSC was not needed. Quite silly actually.Emag wrote: ↑27 Oct 2025, 00:07Brazil should be good, but if it rains then it's a Max-biased dice roll

Where Oscar's pace has gone these last 4 weekends is a mystery. I think his drive today was okay and more aggression would have been too risky, but the straight line and DRS speed is still an issue for McLaren. Piastri would be well in the DRS and gain a tenth - not what DRS was supposed to do.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 23:58Great work by the team. Was the decision to start Max on mediums a master stroke, given Lando clearly had only himself to beat? When you defend as well as Max does, using the more durable tyre when the fuel load is high is theoretically optimum. The speed he came through on the softs was surprisingly good relative to the Ferraris and Mercs. McLaren strategy given they started P1 and P7 was limp to say the least.
