2025 Championship Permutations

Post

It's coming down to the last races of the season and we have three possible contenders. I have seen permutations where Max must win every single remaining sprint and grand prix to win the WDC. But what about Piastri? Is it all buttoned up in the form that Norris is in?

When was the last time Piastri finished ahead of Norris? Zandvoort (well Norris didn't finish, but Piastri was ahead of him when he DNF'd). He started ahead of him in Singapore but Norris was passed him by turn 3, I think that's the last time Piastri was even ahead of Lando on track without a pit stop offset (I think he was briefly ahead after Lando pitted first in Brazil).

Is it possible for Oscar to win the WDC? Of course. But he has to finish ahead of Lando in four straight events (counting the sprint) for it to be possible, without a(nother) Lando DNF, and that's something he's only done once since the summer break. And then he probably needs some help from Max (or George, Kimi, Charles, Lewis) to push Lando down the order in a few races.
