Vegas in more than a week. Lando Norris needs two more points than the opposition and he gets the title with two races to go.
How do you figure that?
I’m going to hazard a guess they miscalculated and think Lando has a 49 point lead and have also forgotten that Qatar is a sprint weekend with an extra 8 points up for grabs.
Just a fan's point of view

If he keeps driving like he has since Monza, he'll be irrelevant anyway.

Right but mathematically his position prevents the “title with two races to spare” moment.

Is that why Lando Norris recieved boos for some races now? I thought people would rejoice for having a new champion
I am getting the feeling that Max fans, who took a disliking to Lando during the 2024 season, are the ones who are suddenly supporting Oscar, booing Lando, and castigating him. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and all that stuff...

To be honest, I'm slowly starting to see an acceptance of Lando and his performances/ability from more people now, including Max and Oscar fans who previously criticised him.

Lando's change of mental state recently is clear to see, just needs to keep blocking the outside noise and focus on the job. Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton and Max were all in the same position. The BS will pass in time.

It could be a McLaren WDC with two races to spare.

A lot of us are team fans and wouldn't mind either driver to win it.

Without a shadow of doubt, they are the majority of Lando's haters.

It seems obvious he was talking about on-track bad luck (like a DNF), not anything physically happening to Lando. I’m not a supporter of Helmut by any means, but it doesn’t feel fair to attack him for something he didn’t imply.

I cant say I like Marko and his comments. Last time he said some racist comments about Perez and jos family and I wouldnt be surprised if he meant what he prayed to happen to Norris.

Yep thought it came across as Lando needs a DNF, crash or what ever. I think more often than not Marko should say less don't think its intentional just from a different era when some of what he says was more accepted that and its often PR focused about updates expected results vs actual

But thought this was simply Lando had a good lead. At leasts over Max to let that go now.Oscar is in the picture is OP wins all 3 races and Lando 2nd/3rd etc. A DNF with Max winning and OP just off 2nd closes thinks up, still think its unlikely for MV but the kinda think that has to happen. And Lando is driving pretty well.

The 2nd para pretty much confirms that. Nothing controversial in that, rough look Max has to win ever race and Lando finishing an average of 6th.
