I'm a bit shocked that I'm on the podium I genuinely thought I had too much drag with that huge sidepod inlet and with a bigger RW.
But anyway congrats to CAEDevice, that's a rapid car you've developed recently.
Also congrats to JJR for winning the championship.

Many congratulations to CAEdevice! It is a great accomplishment and more or less at the home track and the JJR penalty was not needed!

Also many thanks to the team in the background as well! I was slow for reasons but they were super fast as always.

I have published the results page:
https://mantiumchallenge.com/results-mvrc-monza-2025/

And of coarse, thank you for the nice words from JJR and Aerostar. And no need to worry, I think very few teams have started super strong into MVRC, there is simply a bit to learn to make it to the end of a race and then up to the podium-

Here you can easily see what was wrong with your cars:

When you say home track, it really is, literally, because I’m just a few kilometers away from the circuit.

Hi I have a doubt about the CAD models.

Part of what I call "floor" in my Solidworks assembly is outside the regulated volume for the floor, but it could be trimmed and regarded as part of the car body (specifically the forward area of the sidepods). The lower part of the floor (visible from below) is still fully included within the floor volume and complies with the rules against double sections, double diffusers, or channelling

Could I get a confirmation from the staff?

The post-race CFD images are missing. Is this in line with the race agenda?

So,
we can finally announce a Webinar from MVRC and cloudHPC.

This is great news, as you will soon all be able to use MFlow on cloudHPC, just like I do to run the race weekends.

The date will be Monday, November 3, 2025, 17:30 – 18:15.

Please let me know how many of you will be interested to join. I will use the MVRC email system to send out an email to everyone containing the meeting link, I have to confirm if it will be made public, but I assume so.

Also, as it is so close to the next race, what do you think about delaying that race a week or two, so you all have a chance to run your own simulations on cloudHPC?

I dont know if i can manage to join to the Webinar, i need to check with my boss first  . Using cloudHPC sounds very good, i dont mind delaying the race.

Because I hope some of you, will try out cloudHPC after our webinar next Monday, I have delayed the next race by one week. Did you all receive the invitation?

Hello everyone!
It's been a long while since Monza. Since I haven't even finished a single race this season, I am finding some core issues in my car. Most design flaws are due to a lack of experience. So, I have been wondering about the next season and speculations regarding it. Can you please tell me what is being speculated about the next season? Like, will we have X-mode and Z-mode? Major Rule changes? Mandatory parts changes etc? What can I expect about the next season?

The rules should stay very stable for next year. The new rules were one of the reasons this year was a bit rough. I am looking forward to a much smoother 2026.
Moveable front and rear wing profiles are on my list. I have not looked into how I can implement this and how much it will affect computational costs.
And that brings me to what I want to focus on during the winter break. I will put good time into tuning the simulation settings to decrease overall run times of the simulations while also maintaining good correlation with faster simulations.
Also, I am always open to everyone's input.

Did you upload recording from the webinar somewhere? I’d like to try it and compare to my current results but I don’t remember how 😅

Yes, you find find the webinar on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbzouepelbE
Also, I just sent out the email for this race, where you can also find it. As always, this email is important as it contains the submission links. It is the team's responsibility get get hold of these links and submit the cars. If you did not receive anything, please get in touch!

Here is the info from cloudHPC:
CloudHPC offer for MantiumChallange participant
CloudHPC programme supporting Mantium Challenge is expanding. For 2026 we want to expand and give support also to the users and professionals that take part in the challenge itself. For this reason, we made a dedicated webinar ( to present the updates and the status of the platform.
To summarise the offer, I can say there are three different discounts that can be applied to Mantium Challenge users:

On registration: 300 vCPU/Hours for free [about 2 CFD simulations]
For 2026: 2.0% discount for every GP you took part in 2025 Mantium Challenge championship
1 volunteer: support for coupled CFD/AI simulations to improve car performances

Hello all it’s been a while. Noticed some interesting things on the first show car we’ve seen properly for 2026.

While I won’t be able to submit anything new for the final race of this year, it’s around that time we start writing out our wishes for next season.

I think it would be great to see some additional volumes in the areas shown above, it would open up the options for rear of car development a ton.

I’d also like to see a means to create more freedom in suspension fairings. I think removing the mandatory arms and using a series of RS_* surfaces that must be covered could be a good way to do this without inviting extreme solutions.

Now that we have the CFD HPC available I’d love to see some selective mesh changes so we can get away from the 10mm minimum thickness rules in some places.

I’m sure I’ll come up with some more in time and look forward to the off season discussions.

Best of luck to all competing in the final race of the year

Those photos are interesting. I would very much like to have volumes on a sensitive spot like that.

I agree with the suspensions. A bit more freedom would be nice.

I believe i proposed lowering the 10mm rule on some parts before the season start. That rule is as old as the competition (i had a i5 2500k with 8 gigs of ram back then). Even without the CloudHPC i think we can afford the additional computation that brings the thickness rule change.
