Zak said than instead of havind Lando and Oscar fighting he would prefer Max to win the title. Well done McLaren...pathetic job. If Max will win this will be the most epic fail in Formula 1 history.
Yes, and difficult to see why they've "sucked" themselves into such close margin and uncertainty with the risk of this particular dimension, given the lead they held in approaching these last races.

I'm keeping a distance from social media for the run in. But wanted to briefly return to just say, what the actual f*ck have they done.

Though for Lando, its not really changed much 30points is now 24. Its not a huge change. Just the spectre of Max gets closer.

Good. Clear breach and the correct punishment applied. Now remains to be seen how the pace will be affected in the last two races.
I immediately thought this as well, this happening after the "heating devices" directive, they could very well be nowhere the last couple of races.

No words. It’s never easy being a Mclaren fan.
Maximum stint length next weekend so no Mclaren advantage there.
Silly 2021 safety car again and it’s Max’s on a platter

IIRC there's something about teams needing to sign off on the measurements to say that they've been done correctly, to prevent appeals down the line. Could be that McLaren is holding out, grasping for something or just making the FIA go through the full motions.
Grasping at straws.
This was a catastrophic failure from McLaren and their management.

The arguments for playing it safe are blown right out the water when they went aggressive on the plank.

Mclaren will no longer be able to break the single season points scored record currently held by RBR (2023 - 860 pts).

Mclaren should come with some new t shirts saying
I D 10 T S

Pathetic job from the "10 times world champion" team. This will be ugly with both Lando and Oscar if Qatar and Abu Dhabi outcome will be a negative one.

Anyway, the arabs got what they wanted, the "finals" to be on their ground. For me this "Max resurection" and how passive McLaren is part of it smells bad.

0.12mm under. Don’t think they’ll be nowhere in the last couple of races.

I kept saying that while the design engg team is a masterclass, the drivers and race-operations are faltering from time to time. And many of you guys jumped on me. While Norris upped his game and drove like a champion over the past month or so, this is a clear race-operations flop-show. Without long-run data, they went overtly pessimistic and chose higher ride height in AustinGP, and in Vegas, they went the other way - decided to slam it really low. The WCC is won, so as far as the company is concerned, they have no more skin in the game for 2025 season. But try explaining this to the drivers, both of them. They must be pulling their hair out.

While you know my stance of the FIA and it's stewards it's now done and nothing we can say will change it. Mclaren (Norris as he's leading) must focus on Qatar and win both Sprint and Race and end this.

The team has messed up. I don’t know what else to say. 24 points is still a good advantage, but since we’re in a corner wherein everything seems to run against us, I am not confident we’ll secure this championship. Especially against Max. He is miles above our drivers and has a good car.
