Quoting the article : However, RacingNews365's sister site Formula.Hu has reported that Cowell's position has become untenable after the recent news of the departures of several senior design figures, including aerodynamics director, Eric Blandin, with owner Lawrence Stroll feeling the team is right to make a change.

RacingNews365 understands Cowell's replacement could potentially be former McLaren and Stake boss Andreas Seidl.

Quoting motorsport : Aston Martin's Formula 1 team is undergoing another restructuring of its engineering department after a challenging year on the track. Up to seven senior figures are expected to leave or be reassigned to the company's advanced technologies division. Among them is Eric Blandin

Great news if you are an Alonso fan. . . restructuring just before huge regulation changes. Additionally, Seidl would be bad news also. . . I don't think he's particularly keen about Alonso

I was not that bothered by the sackings from the Aero department as they were pre Newey hires and thats his area of expertise. Fact they are firing Cowell basically 10 months after making him team principal suggests that things may not be on the right path given that his expected role in PU development.

Considering Newey right now as part owner of the team and all the rumors between Newey and Cowell, they don't really need a TP, may be get Alonso to this position after next season.

I don't think he was involved in the development of the PU with Honda

Cowell left because he felt he was being undermined by Newey? This team is such a shitshow.

I am sickened that Alonso's alleged last year is going to be spent with a team in political turmoil.

Is Cowell absolutely insane? Why did he go against Adrian plan for the technical area?
That part of the company has be to be managed entirely by Newey. He has always operated like that.

Well. We know how will be our perfomance next year. A complete disaster. When Alonso will be retired, AM will be champion. This guy has a huge karma.
