Imagine a scenario in which Mclaren falls behind Mercedes, Ferrari also, not just Max. Only because they couldnt run the car lower, risking another DNF. Now they are under watch by FIA. It would have been the biggest blunder of this century by the team. On the other side Max and Red Bull are the outsider, in old points they are still 10 points down with just 23 points remaining. This is a race win, without luck its not possible to win the title. But they can say at least they tried, the gap was more than 100 points after the Dutch GP. I would probably be slightly disappointed with Max not winning the title, but on the other hand nobody even expected a fight with two races to go. This should never be a battle, Mclaren with this car should have been 100 points ahead with their drivers. Thats the reality. The pressure is on Mclaren and Lando now to deliver. Lets just enjoy this two races now. Otherwise we will try again in 2026. :)

I just want another week of hope :D
The gap should be somehow not bigger that 10 points after this weekend to have a chance without a Lando DNF.
Likely not possible but whatever it takes...

So, Tsunoda out?

I know something that I can’t share, but most people know it - I’m in a similar understanding with you guys.

I would be surprised if they kept him to be honest. Just hasn't been up to par. There's no excuse to be out of the points when your teammate is winning races.

Nobody doesn't match Verstappen. They will sacrifice Hadjar's career, again with inexperience driver.

Yeah Lando saved his career by not joining Red Bull. Would have been a good two though.

You don't have to match him, but if you're 1 second off then that's a disaster. Even Gasly/Albon were at least half a second down on Max.

Do you think if you put Leclerc in the second RedBull seat, Max will be 1 second per lap faster than him too in the race?

In any case, they don't need another Max. They just need a good second driver. Perez was perfect for that role until he fell of the cliff from the midpoint of 2023, where I suspect the Hungary package made the car go into a very peaky development direction. Only Max has been able to drive the RedBull to the limit since then.

Next year, there's a reset and RedBull has always been keen to give new talent opportunities. Hadjar should be in a much better position than Liam and Yuki were. Admittedly, it was very difficult for Liam and Yuki to deliver in this car, but they still got the chance. If any of them had been closer, then they would have been retained for 2026. But as I said, you can't be off the top 10 consistently when your teammate is winning races, no matter who your teammate is.

Yeah but with Gasly, Albon and Perez the car wasn't freak like now. Lawson was awful also.
