There is no way Norris finish in the top in 3 in Abu Dhabi. Either him or McLaren will --- up.

AD is the track I've had least hope for since a while back, RB had no pace there last year. Realistically I think Lando still needs a shocker there, probably a DNF. I don't see 3 cars beating him on pace, or more like 4 cars since Oscar will pull out of the way in case he needs to.
If max wins we need 2 cars in between that are not mclaren, that is the simplest explanation.
It's possible, Mercedes could be good and it's not the easiest track to overtake on. But my expectations are that McLaren will be clearly fastest and that it will take a mistake from Lando. Also, it will take a great weekend from Max because I don't think the car will do him any favours in AD.

The positive is we have 3 practice sessions to fine-tune the car.

This legendary women is also keeping the dream alive.

A tow is massive around AD in S2 so Yuki needs to be in Q3.

Peter Bayer (most likely using the same software as Red Bull) said before the weekend, that a two-stopper in Qatar is 20s slower than the one-stopper would be.

What McLaren did was basically a voluntary two-stopper on from the SC, just at reduced distance and with used tires to start on.

I put 20 euros on Max winning the championship a while back. With the odds being worse before Qatar, I could cover the costs of F1InsightsHub for almost a whole year if he does it in Abu Dhabi

It will be a repeat of 2007 in Abu Dhabi. Norris will have a technical problem and will finish out of top 5. Max wins the championship.

Also remember if the safety car came at lap 6 this win wouldnt be possible, because of 25 laps(rule) on the same tyre. It happened a lap later (7-32-57 stint), just on the limit. This would mean Red Bull had to pit on lap 56...

Lap 7 is insane timing. A couple laps later and Mclaren would have stopped. How this has gone is almost unbelievable. Two 25 lap stints. The perfect coincidence.

I am sure 9 of 10 teams before the race discussed this. If SC/VSC happens before lap 7 no pit, otherwise we pit. Logic says with mandatory 2 pit stops, one topic on the table would be VSC/SC and to pit or no. Seems only McLaren didn’t consider this

70th win for Max. He's 2/3 on his way to the all time record (105), and I don't see Hamilton adding much to that in his current form. In 5 seasons (2021-2025) he has won 60 races, an average of 12 per season. It's an astonishing number of wins under any circumstance, but even more insane given the fact that at least 3 of those seasons were contested by other cars that were just as fast or faster. I don't think we've ever seen this level before.
