Taking Platinum Zealot seriously in 2025? Nah
He is one with his car. Do not underestimate that Max and RedBull has honed a driving characteristic to a his, the number 1 driver's liking, over several consecutive years. In contrast other teams have two competing drivers and not even the same drivers for any stretch of time so you get a car whose handling DNA is bastardised.AR3-GP wrote: ↑30 Nov 2025, 21:30Not a single track limit offense from Verstappen today (or all weekend) at a circuit where it proved very difficult for drivers to keep it between the lines. He's simply operating on another level. It's important to highlight the fine details like this because often people get lost in their biases or hatred and no longer think analytically about the driver performance. There are plenty of fast F1 drivers, or drivers good for a fast lap on a random racetrack in the middle east, but are they consistent across the season? Do they make too many small errors here and there? Verstappen distinguishes himself in every area. It's remarkable.

RedBull strategist and engineers also did better than the gap between the drivers. They have that championshipmentality that I just don't feel with McLaren. McLaren still feel like the eager novices cobbling together something flimsy against cold hearted killers and it's shocking that Max is in contention still.
That's a very VCARB way to finish a race...
Imagine if that had happened on lap7 and Hadjar had stopped on the track.
The SC was not a lucky SC for RBR. If all had pitted, we'd have the most boring race ever.venkyhere wrote: ↑01 Dec 2025, 06:10Imagine if that had happened on lap7 and Hadjar had stopped on the track.
Hulkenberg and Gasly, unintentionally, quashed an opportunity for the conspiracy theorists. It wouldn't still get into their heads that it isn't just enough to Flavio-Piquet a deliberate DNF, it also requires hypnotism/black-magic-spell/sorcery to be performed remotely, to cause brain-dead decision making at the McLaren pitwall.
