wont be surprised if hadjar struggles like yuki next year. RB is famous for their infanticide and not letting them develop over multiple seasons.

Hadjar in a Redbull - team radio will be 'absolute cinema'.

I'd have waited until after AD ... maybe Pia is up for grabs 😎

This. Sadly PIA has presented himself this season as being a great #2 driver. Too slow and inconsistent to be a real threat and willing to follow the most controversial team orders even in a title fight.

Hadjar comes at a much lower price tag however and with the new car concept everything is open for him to perform well, while also keeping RB relevant as a launch pad.

I don't understand the timing.

TSU could have helped for the championship.
Why will he do anything now ?

Otherwise, good pick, I believe HAD will arrive at the best possible moment, new regs, new engine, so he will have to adapt to the team but he will start on an equal foot regarding the car

Hadjar is already driving the bones of Red Bull cars. Same steering wheel, same PU, etc. He will have already experienced next year's VCARB in the simulator, which shares technology with Red Bull. Transitioning from VCARB to Red Bull is easier than from any other team. Mekies has also worked with Hadjar in the first half of this year. He has the best opportunity.

In which world could he have helped?

Hadjar should be expected to be close to Max's pace at least in the beginning.

I just only assume that they wanted to give him a proper farewell, most likely he will also be out of F1.
This is also Red Bull's last race with Honda and giving both Honda/Tsunoda an opportunity to say goodbye and have a nice last race, has much better optics, than just disgracefully announce it during off-season.

edit: it's not like Tsunoda is anywehere near to be able to help Max.
And I also think he still would if he could.

He is not completely out of F1, seems like he will be reserve driver.

Edit for reference:

Yuki will remain within the Red Bull family as he moves into the role of Red Bull Test and Reserve Driver for 2026.

I'm surprised AMR didn't bring as their reserve

I see the same, an opportunity to sign off, in public view, the end to both these contributions.

Things change with drivers ultimately in very competitive field. Allowing him a time to accept public acknowledgement for his contribution is the right thing to give.
