I predict that an unpredictable event will happen just like in 2021, that will cause chaos, and eventually it will be decided at the end, and Max will come out on top, and win the championship.

I predict the exact opposite: A predictable weekend where Mclaren is simply faster. Both of them on the podium. Max performs well but ultimately it's not enough.

I bloody hope not, however I can 100% see it happening. He seems to have the luck of the devil… and indisputable driving talent…

On my side I see a boring race with Norris champion.

And as said since a long time, Verstappen experiencing an "Alonso 2012" like season

So its Merc and Ferrari in front just to make it (un) exciting then?

Of late, Max has been getting lucky so many times where McLarens fall away... Austin sprint, Vegas DSQ, Qatar clownshow -- at some point the law of averages has to catchup and he will stop getting lucky , and this weekend looks like the one. He anyway should be nowhere in contention for WDC, despite the Monza floor resurgence. The McL39 is the 'pinnacle of the ground effect era'.

Abu is usually boring as it is simply an easy track without special requirements on car or driver. A bit like Barcelona. In the past similarly poor on overtaking, at least this is fixes (as in Barcelona), but does not really add to the excitement. Without Masi I do not see any race since Vettel that had some spice in it.

Strange comparison. I think he is still astonished himself to come that close out of the blue. Alonso was a genuine contender all 2012.

FP1 longruns. The Sauber looks likely to be a bit underfueled. Hirakawa probably as well

Verstappen and Red Bull are clinical, McLaren less so.

What has transpired since Monza is not a question of luck.

Looks like the Haas is fast again in Abu Dhabi. Last year Hülkenberg got their best quali result (4th) of the year as well.

Well in 2012 the Ferrari was much slower than the Red Bull, but Alonso did wonders to stay in the fight.
Same than VER this year.

Indeed. But, crash can happen at first corner (or spin) that changes all.
Otherwise Lando will be champion and win the race.

Tire update after friday. Today it looked like a two-stop race, but I guess this normally will change
