Btw how consequential that crash in sprint in COTA may end up being. Both cars out for a risky move for 1 points that lost them 7 and 6 points and then didn't have the data for the race.

Lando with +19 against Max and Oscar with +2 against Max would be a very different race.
Everything can be looked at though.

Oscar losing it in the Aussie rain on race one. Was on for 18 points, got 2 or 3? Max tgen picked up the pieces, as he has done so often.

So many times in the season things could have panned out differently, the strategy last week for instance. But it is what it is, we are here.

Less than 2 hrs left. I hope it will be a clean race. Don’t mind it nervshocking (prefer it not to be tho 🤣). Norris need to keep his head cool in the start. Don’t be passive, but smart. I could definitely see a situation max trick Lando into a bad t1 losing some positions. I think that’s max only hope.

I've just re-read the history of AbuDhabi 2021. Same as this year Max was on pole with Lewis and Bottas P2 and P3.
Also in that quali session Max had a big tow from Perez, allowing him the pole.
2021 Perez tow was very poorly executed, it was basically worth nothing, but the pole margin was nearly 4 tenths.

Nobody is perfect :D Perez did his job in the race where he brought Max into Lewis from +11 to +1 before pitting, if I remember corect.

As I said if I was at McLaren (hmm..how that sounds) based in T1 outcome, I would allow Oscar to take P2 and attack Max. This is Oscar's only hope to win the championship and will limit Max options in playing games, cause he will either had to defend hard to Oscar or to lose P1 and with it also his chances to become champion.

And in Miami Oscar showed us that he can play smart and find a way to overtake Verstappen.

Risky . If Oscar takes P2, and Lando is P3..then Lando will be hounded by Russell and he doesn't care about who wins the championship. He will go after Lando to finish on the podium.

Mclaren needs a smart approach here (if all cars make it trough turn 1) give PIA aggressive strategy to try and overtake VER, give NOR the safer strategy to make sure he ends up on the podium, this is the only way I think we can outsmart VER today.

Imo 1. Russell and Leclerc do not have the race pace to put constant pressure on top 3.
2. Russell does care who is the champion, don't take for granted the words that they say for the media.

I do not know what role still has Will (Courtenay) in RBR, if any, but I hope Zak will be live with him cause McLaren can not rely on Randeep to have a briliant strategy. Hannah is too strong 🤣

That would be approach to have the best chance for a McLaren driver to be WDC (either one). But I feel they will do everything possible for Lando to get it.
Just hope it doesn't turn out neither driver gets WDC.

Half an hour left for the last and crucial race for the WDC. Lando has a good lead and he only needs to be 3rd at worst. The team has to make sure he gets it. Praying that at the end of the race we are gonna have celebrations of a Mclaren Driver's champion.

The team is still in prime position. Let's get this in a dominant fashion.
