Of course it is well deserved. He was fighting the whole year with BS stewart decisions, his own teammate, his own team that costed him more than 60 points and 3 Red Bull cars but just like last year he gave us one good last performance (especially when he passed every DRS train).

As for those who talk about mediocre drivers without any base. Take a chill pill and enjoy the rightful champion.

Relax, guys. The FIA just wants Verstappen to lose by fewer than 10 points to teach him a lesson for what happened in Spain
Yep
Also, it turned out the swap in Monza was the right call
Btw, I'm Oscar's fan next year

Damn….those extra 2 points from Qatar.
Phhheewww.

Congratulations Lando!
Oscar would have let him through, so it doesn't really matter.
Lando probably could have attacked Piastri even without that, he was closing in for last 10 laps.

well done lad. Gotta say, with all the cockups and miscalculations this year, the team handled that race extremely well. The split tyres at the start pretty much Neutered anything Red Bull could do to cause trouble.
Good job everyone - Oscar can have it next year.

Congratulations, superb car, mediocre drivers but at the end achieved both titles.

WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO. What a year, what a job by McLaren and the drivers.

Great job Piastri, great job Norris, great job by mechanics, strategy team. Going split strategy opened up opportunities to us and made life difficult for Verstappen. What a job.

Super happy that Norris beat Leclerc by more than 5 seconds, I know he would have served it in the pits but it still removes any question mark.

When it mattered Norris was clinical, overtaking those midfield cars and then Tsunoda off track.

Well done to Landon Norris! Quite an exciting second half of the season. I count myself a McLaren fan, not just a driver fan, so I'd have been happy with either. Good fight by Max this season, and good luck to everyone.

On to a new set of regulations.

Let's not forget, when will Will Courtenay, RBR Head of Race Strategy, join McLaren???

I read that he was working till the end of the season and now gardening leave to mid 2026. Not sure if that is fully accurate.

Who knows what will happen next year, we may be midfield again. Let's enjoy this.

Well done to Norris.

McLaren made this harder than it should and the drivers' title should have been wrapped up earlier.

Of curiosity, is there any precedent or risk of a DSQ after a championship deciding race that hands the title to Max?

Not sure they would allow that to happen, but it could have easily happened if McLaren had a bigger gap in Las Vegas.

It is well deserved, but don't ridicule yourself by not acknowledging the problems Red Bull faced. (and don't pin the car's legality problems on stewards).
Eventually, it was McLaren's title to lose and their drivers delivered what they had to. So fair play to NOR & PIA. NOR looked inspired after Zandvoort, he is stronger than ever mentally. Hopefully, they won't prioritize either driver in the future...

Just stating facts, not fan of Max but he deserved it most this year.
