This thread is to discuss the 2026 Scuderia Ferrari F1 TEAM
The issue for teams are that the regulations have been drafted in such a way that it eliminates a lot of the tools we saw pre-22. The bodywork radii/single sections rules, in addition to the very constrained reference volumes, makes it much harder to have very creative solutions.venkyhere wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025, 02:14Good luck, team.
Apart from the engine differences of course, 'how different will each car look w.r.t others, before they all converge to a similar looking design 2-3 yrs later' ?
My bet is on engine air intake and sidepods looking tremendously different from anything seen in the last two decades and each team will have their own interpretation, because they are going to be dictated by :
- just 500bhp peak power from ICE
- inwashing front floor bargeboard force-defined in the regulations ; teams are going to go hell for leather with 'innovations' towards the back half of the floor/sidepod, to 'reflect' this inwash back to outwash, so that coke bottle area is protected.
Discuss, please, it will be fun to make such 'predictions' before the cars are unveiled in Jan'26 and then we can find out how wrong we've been.![]()
People fussing out the fact that 90% of the leaks are baseless and false. There is a single reputable source in Italy, unfortunately. You have a particular author still writing about Ferrari everyday, we've all understood nothing he says is to be taken serious.DJ Downforce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 16:08Looking forward to a fresh new year with new cars and just a general shakeup of f1.
Let's hope that by December 2026 we are talking about the record breaking Ferrari season with a 24/24 win record (or however many races there are these days)!!
Maranello has been pretty quiet this winter, a result of Fred's patching up of leaks? Let's hope they deliver a solid car that finally allows Leclerc to excel and one that Hamilton can feel more comfortable in and get back to his best.
I'll be more active this year, see you in the threads![]()
Yes Mr Nugnes does have a reputation for talking nonsense. Best to ignore his stuff I think.brakeboosted wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 16:36People fussing out the fact that 90% of the leaks are baseless and false. It's nice to see you here, I assume you're the same guy from Twitter. Much nicer on here....
I can attest to that. I used to be way more emotional/impulsive a couple of years ago, but its gotten a little bit better lately. Sometimes it still leaks out thoughbrakeboosted wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 18:20DJ Downforce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 17:57Yes Mr Nugnes does have a reputation for talking nonsense. Yes, the same person however I've been on here under a different username. There was a stint over the least 2 seasons where the Ferrari threads on here got a bit out of control, perhaps I contributed to it, hence why I've been inclined to stay away. Since then, twitter has gotten exponentially worse, and I've noticed myself regress to the same levels of engagement, say and do things I'm not particularly proud of. Thought it was best to limit my time on there until pre-season testing.
Yes Elon turned it into a bit of a hellscape... but I'm getting off topic!!!!brakeboosted wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 18:20DJ Downforce wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 17:57Yes Mr Nugnes does have a reputation for talking nonsense. Best to ignore his stuff I think.brakeboosted wrote: ↑30 Dec 2025, 16:36
