Filming day tomorrow it seems...

Given that there is 2 weeks and 3 days until the private test in Barcelona starts, to have a car ready for shakedown so early could suggest they are playing it safe with the first car to make sure it is reliable rather than fast.

The team has admitted that their ambition is to fight for the championship sometime from 2030 onwards. So they are focusing on the framework, and not necessarily outright performance for now.

They've also had a lot of time to focus on the 2026 model, but yes, I would imagine most of the cars showing up to the tests are rather simple, and we won't see proper race parts until the first race

looks like that they've already completed few laps of the filming day. A "tweet" on X saids so. I think you're right. We will not see anything today.

Ps. Other teams booked the track for a filming day in the next days. Could be Alpine on Sunday and Mercedes on Monday.

I think we need to start a pre testing thread. Barcelona is well covered, but I do not believe there will not be any pictures. In the past we always had pictures from filming days.

But I would even call it a good result for Audi if someone can hear a car doing laps, not breaking down after the first lap.

Good call from Audi to go early in my opinion.

In any other season late=more development time.
But not the manufacturers first season in F1 with a brand new PU.
If we learned anything from Mercedes in 2014, it's that reliability=performance. And lack of reliability means loss of running which means reduced performance development.
