Cadillac on track, figured id post it here too since theyre running Ferrari's engine

Cadillac took its 2026 F1 car to the track at Silverstone today and became the second F1 team to do so.

The Ferrari engine was successfully operated. Thus, the claims that Ferrari couldn't get the engine running or that Cadillac wasn't ready have been debunked.

Sad to see Adami go, I wonder what changed from last month since it was widely reported he would be staying. But it's for the best most likely, if him and/or Hamilton didn't feel that it was working out, no point in sticking to it. Hopefully his replacement is well vetted and has a better communication style for Hamilton

Unfortunately I think them "not clicking" was mostly about Hamilton "not clicking" with the car. Many of the very public complaints about communication were straight BS, seemingly intended to sic the dogs on Adami to take attention away from his own performance.

autoracer said they had a positive end of year meeting and there was no indication things would change

I read from a very credible source a month ago that Adami was out. So when I saw it was being suggested that he was saying, it conflicted with what I knew.

Wonder if the new race engineer for Lewis will be Laura Mueller? She was good and would interact and gel with Lewis so much better. Main thing is as long as Lewis and the new engineer gel and give info at the right time when he needs it that helps I’m all for it. Adami sadly just wasn’t good and hasn’t been for years so many mistakes and very strange interactions

LOL I can't lie, it feels good to see some vocal posters from the last few pages eat crow but mostly I'm glad that common sense prevailed at Ferrari. Makes me feel optimistic about their future.

Yeah I’ve enjoyed the sound of all the 2026 engines I’ve heard so far - not exactly a V10 but it does seem like the MGUH was probably not helping the sound. To my (biased) ears, the Ferrari probably sounds the best so far but the main thing is the power it produces; seems like the higher revs is helping and fingers crossed some of the talk of Ferrari being aggressive on the ICE has translated to something meaningful here.
