I don't know why they waited this long to confirm. Could have approved this schedule yesterday already considering the weather.
You never know, there could have been a change in the weather forecast, keep the option on the table, till it's confirmed it won't be possible.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Seems odd they have chosen not to split the first day, considering tomorrow has the worst weather and It is the day the car will be completing its least competitive running

The upcoming 3 days don't have high predictability, but tomorrow it's not really going to be the worst. All 3 days are likely to feature some drizzle.

For Wednesday, there's some cloud coverage, but there's a chance it wont rain at all. If that's the case, the track will probably be a bit damp in the morning from today, but as long as it doesn't rain throughout the day, some dry line probably will form from the cars running.

Friday actually seems to be more likely to feature light drizzle scattered throughout the day. For wednesday at least, the chance of rain gets moderate only after 13:00

This will be the first trip, they will obviously check all the systems, there is no need to work on speed.

Without shakedown I do not expect a huge amount of laps day 1. Hopefully no big issues are discovered, they are cutting it kinda close in my view.

Anyone else reckon the areas that look dark grey in the render might actually be chrome?
Something like this? :D

You realise that’s a joke… right?

They are not indicators, they are bad weather warning lights, the same as what is on the back of cars already. They are there to increase visibility from a side view in rain.

I was looking forward to the 5 second penalties for failing to indicate  :D

I fear for the Miami GP given the average FL driver's signaling (or lack thereof)

No. If you look at the render, the car is black overall, but has a dark grey pattern on it, on the engine cover for example. The nose already looks like it might be chrome, so I wondered whether they might have gone for a black and chrome testing livery.

The overalls seems to be in line with the Indy ones: most papaya with a black area on left shoulder.

Its interesting. I had expected Mastercard to be more prominent in the livery and suits with the new sponsorship. So far the only change is that the Mastercard logo appears with the McLaren logo everywhere

Hahaha..sure. My getting ridiculous was referring to what social media has become, with 90% crap posts. Like the one with Stroll having same number of victories in 2026 like Lando, Max and Lewis combined. I know Stroll is in F1 because his father owns AM, but the hate or the jokes were good many years ago.

Regarding the new lights, here is a new post:

And among the obvious changes spotted at Barcelona’s shakedown week, there’s one change that has gone slightly unnoticed: the new circular rain light above the diffuser and the new position of the rear wing lights.
