Tuesday's weather sounds even worse...
Yes, that is a classic Ferrari choice. 15°C and rain...

Imagining with a lot of hand gestures:
“Ah, when-a might be da best time to run, eh?"
"Eh, Tuesday, of course! We were always-a good on Tuesdays.”
 =D>
Can you guys stop bashing Ferrari for literally EVERYTHING they do? That's really cringe and childish.
Let them do their programme and see how it goes.
I second this, nothing Ferrari do is positive for some of these fans.

Leclerc said Ferrari had completed all the work planned for the morning and that so far all the systems were working as expected.

He didn't comment on performance but stated that there were no problems with the car.

He thinks they've had a good start so far.

Still funny though. :D :D

Too early. They are not even testing aero at the moment.

He looks too happy, clearly not a good sign because he’s happy the rain came and he doesn’t need to drive the car any more.

Cursed season.

I thought Barcelona shakedown was supposed to test the PU mostly as aero will behave differently in warmer climate along with tyres.

Cmon! We had a page of complaining that I dared to mention leaving out Monday was a bad decision. Now you come. Please do not be so negative, nerves are open already. [-o<

What I see is performance testing. We do not know how many laps they pushed/fuel load with the 1:20 time, but for a pre season test this is genuinely fast if we consider the very cold track, mostly green track and it being a first test. The 26 cars are considered to be 2sec slower and Ferrari used Mediums on the pictures I saw. So Leclerc did a similar pace as his fastest lap last year in the race.
Even if this was a Q simulation to simulate a full race already...this is genuinely fast.

Based on what they are saying, and mostly every other team, on this test, the aero package will have nothing really in common with what they will have at later tests and in Melbourne.
Hence pushing will not provide a lot of info for them and for us.
They are focusing on the engine, their recovery modes, durability, the suspension, cooling... So we shall not read the times much.
The most we can see is if a team is constantly the last, that perhaps would not be the best sign. The rest will change.

Both Lewis and Charles got in laps which is the most important part of this "shakedown". Like other users said, the car will seemingly change quite a bit before Melbourne, so no real insight into the actual performance (besides maybe engine performance which I doubt they tried today with the track conditions).

One can just hope that the car isn't a total dud in the wet like years prior. Charles seemingly got on with it, but of course they weren't pushing at all.

The car looks properly beautiful. I don’t always blindly think the Ferraris look better but this one I really think is the best of the bunch. It’s funny to me how different the cars “seem” (it’s not necessarily how they “look” but how they come across) - the Haas for example “seems” to me very similar to the ground effect era cars, whereas the Ferrari has a hint of the 2009 car imho.

Of course, the only thing that matters is performance, not aesthetics, but I certainly don’t mind if it’s a looker - so long as it’s also fast!
