Anyone in the last significant number of posts realise this is thread for AUDI team ?

Yes, almost all that only applies to the end of 2025. The new Engine is not developed or supported in any way by Honda. Nor is it designed by ex-Honda employees.

Transferred Honda Development UKs personnel are mainly support staff and assembly workers. The Engines were designed in Japan, entirely. Those staff have not gone to RBPT/Ford.
You could be right, but it will help if you can provide the source of those information just for my knowledge.

Thank you! All this should be in a different thread.

Honda PU discussion does not belong in the Audi thread - deleted content probably belonged in the 2026 PU thread - but I deleted it all.

Seems like Audi has more mechanical issues. Hulkenberg stopped on track.

They are back out there for the afternoon session at least. Let's see how many laps they can rack up...

Pretty encouraging last day for Audi imho. Lots of laps that made up for the troubled start to the test. They definitely showed they belonged there and have made a better start than I expected of a new manufacturer.

I'm kind of sorry Porsche didn't make it, with what they did in WEC. Their private competition with Audi would have made it extra interesting.

It was, even if they did have some issues as well. I was starting to stress a little but we don't know what type of issue were and how cautious Audi were to pull the car out of the track.

I find it odd that the Auto Union badge on the car livery (and the garage hoardings) has such a thin outline.

Surely that will change to a thicker outline (as found on say the 1996-1999 Super Tourer livery) at some point to improve prominence of the badge? :)

I noticed the racesuits feature a (IMO) more sensible thicker outline on their Auto Union badges, which makes the four rings more prominent.

[Obviously the actual Audi-specific badge within the Auto Union group of brands is the text badge, and that's nowhere to be seen if I'm not mistaken?! :P ]

I wouldn't expect so, the team livery / apparel etc is all in line with Audi's current branding, which tends to be very minimal, indeed, they seem to want to take the cars in that direction, with their recent, Audi TT inspired concept car as a guide etc.

They don't really use the logotype much anymore either, perhaps because they have a Chinese spin off called 'AUDI' which only uses text, no rings.
