Not that it means much, but Ted Kravitz reported George's laptime yesterday was done on a C1. It was about half a second down on Hadjar.
Not sure if Pirelli has published the performance difference between compounds? I wouldn't be surprised if their projection goes down the drain as usual. Most of the times, their harder compounds seem to be faster in quali than their soft range. Given that this track got resurfaced 7 years back and still very green yesterday, it's difficult to expect a C3 to do a better job than a C1. May be by Friday, things might change if there is no more rain.
