Aston Martin AMR26

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Some winglets, not seen so far on other 2026 cars

I don’t think the front one is a winglet, that’s the front of the halo, or a shadow
It's weird because in the picture from the side I also see something there but I it's very possible it's only a shadow. I don't think it's a halo because of the angle, it looks vertical
I agree, it's a winglet

One of the rear suspension arms is mounted to the rear wing pylon?

The cover engine looks like it is wrapped around it as if it was sucked to max. You can see the shape of it

Big louver exit on the side, as I expected. What I suggested back in June.

Skimming through the 2026 regulations, it seems to have some easter eggs. The biggest one may be the changes to wording of the engine cover & louver aperture allowances. They might provide the main visual differentiator of 2026: large unusual louvers. ...

... Emphasis on narrowness around the rear suspension. I hope they turn a new leaf conceptually. Eliminate the familiar center cannon and do total louver efflux. ...
Can't tell if there is a center cannon at the rear or not. Traditional sidepod shapes, it seems, although very compact.

The aft attachment points of the front arms are nearly touching. Structural efficiency there--two load paths sharing the same anchor.

Other items of interest:
--RB19 type sidepod inlet
--pushrod front & rear
--rear suspension arms mounted to the RW pylons
--large roll hoop wings
--large halo vanes
--two legged RWAS adjuster fairing?
--spoon shaped nosecone

Front wing and bargeboard similar to Mercedes, nose very similar to Audi. Overbite sidepod with a strongly negative AoA front edge, which is different. Ferrari-like top intake, with little or no centerline cooling. Coke-bottle pinches down to a tiny central cannon, looks like the side cannons are vast majority of heat exhaust.

this might not be rear suspension. Could be a strut to support an aero sensor.

Why are the rear suspension arms seem to be floating in mid-air?
maybe the contact point of the suspension is not gearbox casing, but a pillar, similar to ehat Williams was running back in Maldonado days?

Attachment points either side of each rear wing support pylon it seems.

Higher up you put the suspension geometry, the more level it is when compressed?
