1.16.9 for Charles (mediums)
now:
Leclerc continues to bang in the hot laps, and he's now down to an unofficial 1'16"653. That's just two-tenths down on Russell.

1.20.795 is pretty fast for limited top speed 8)

Wow 105 laps by Bearman , that is over two hours of net driving.
Also Audi with a lot of laps. Cadillic losing out.

Such a shame that data stream got closed down. It had all the data we would need to go and make wildly inaccurate predictions.

Are we even going to get live timing for the first Bahrain test? Since only the final hour in being broadcasted, I'm doubtful.

Will probably have to wait till the 2nd test :(

Hopefully we at least get live timing for the last hour.

I’ve been doing a little digging….
Looking at the renders of the 2026 FIA mule car ‘Fangio’, it seems that the cut out in the diffuser was a pre-requisite.
This suggests a couple of things:
Any team that is not utilising this has found another way within the rule set, having, I’m assuming, taking a good look at the original lay-out prescribed by the FIA and deciding against it.

Any team that has the ‘Mousetrap’, one must assume has looked at not having one and seen the benefit’s of the original prescriptive FIA design.
Surely, they wouldn’t have overlooked not having the mousetrap?
Interesting……
The benefits of either/or I believe have been explained by some of our most learned fellows on this forum.
It will be interesting to see which one plays out during the season.

Live timing would be available for first test, no broadcast. Second test has both.

Re: 2026 Pre-Season Testing

At around 9:55 of Bsports Aston video, he says that the anti dive on the new cars is more extreme than it was on the GE cars. And this anti dive is what was killing the feeling of the drivers for the cars. So just like I said, all of this talk about the stiffness and bad feel of the previous cars is just a bunch of anti GE car propaganda. These cars won't be much different in this regard. Yet some people have said that this was the main reason for getting rid of the ground effect floor. I think we can already discount that theory. Stiffness is always going to be the fastest and always has been.

Once the drivers realize getting rid of the GE floor helped nothing, there will be renewed calls for ride control.

The problem is that for whatever reason everyone keeps saying that these cars aren’t “ground effect”
