Firstly, take a breather.

Secondly, usually the livery reveals are based on some truth, be that an early rendition or a newer model with key features like the floor obfuscated.

Look at & compare the "livery reveals" of other teams this year with the cars they brought to Barcelona and on average they bear a huge amount of resemblance where the FIA show car was not used to launch the livery

It's not guaranteed, there are assumptions being made, but it's a general trend with Williams: with every hint/news story/piece of information gleaned about their 2026 project, the worse it sounds.

If you choose to read without interpreting subtext that's on you

As a Williams fan I take no joy in seeing the team struggle, but I'm also not going to blindly believe in the team just because it's been on a positive trajectory of late. They were doing well in an era with extreme convergence, minimal field spread, and extra correlation difficulty (bringing in some more randomness than usual).

I'm going to reserve final judgement until later of course, but the forum is for discussion. If you don't like reading early discussions based on limited information then F1technical during testing season isn't for you

They put out a spec sheet which said it was using pull rod front suspension, people aren't getting that from the renders, which basically don't have real suspension at all!

Going all in on 2026 and not making it to Barcelona only to build a car similar to Alpine is not too promising. Most likely fighting with Alpine for scraps.

It's too early to make such a judgment, especially since this is the only angle of the car available so far.

Also, being compared to the Alpine car would be a good thing, as the A526 is seen as one of the most visibly developed cars on the grid so far.

Ah! I see what they've done with the front pull rod! They have Extreme anti-dive ans so they position the pull rod so it's directly infront of traling leg of the uppercontrol arm to minimise aerodynamic distrubance. Very innovative!

For those saying changing to pull or push rod means devoting massive resource. No. It actually doesn't. Mechanically it is not difficult to swtich from one to the other. You just keep the same motion ratios and repackage the different elements. It's really done for aerodynamic benefits.
