Cos none of the other teams used renders of a showcar??
Each of those teams has proven that they had a real car in Barcelona last week. The FW48 is practically vaporware. Showing fake renders at this stage is a symptom of wider issues. Let's hope there's a car in Bahrain...
They have already said there will be. They also ran a Virtual Test program using a complete car.AR3-GP wrote: ↑03 Feb 2026, 23:28Each of those teams has proven that they had a real car in Barcelona last week. Why must there always be a spin on it? There's nothing positive to take from missing the shakedown. Anyone selling positives has a low opinion of their audience. This is bad.WardenOfTheNorth wrote: ↑03 Feb 2026, 23:55
LawVs gives some pretty good arguments for why this could actually end up being a useful experience for the this year. Obviously running in the Shakedown would have been preferable, but this may not be as big a disadvantage as it at first appears.
Yes, nothing positive, but also not the end of the world.AR3-GP wrote: ↑04 Feb 2026, 03:08Why must there always be a spin on it? There's nothing positive to take from missing the shakedown. I don't either. Regardless, I would hope they'll be able to beat more than just Cadillac and Audi by the end of the season. Going backwards wouldn't be optimal.FrukostScones wrote: ↑04 Feb 2026, 20:10sometimes it is better to stay homeJPower wrote: ↑04 Feb 2026, 20:09OMG, let's hope it makes it to Bahrain.dr_cooke wrote: ↑04 Feb 2026, 19:32Did anybody mention the shakedown today?

PS: I actually see no big drama in missing the first Circuit de Catalunya test. they will soundly beat Audi and Cadillac still.
