The car is awesome, up close. Looks much tighter, everywhere. Even has a little whole for the mouse, if my eyes do not decieve

Missed opportunity to mix the red and orange from MasterCard, too much black, it's just as boring as last year unfortunately

I'm not one who cares a bit about liveries, mainly because I have issues identifying and remembering. But I kinda like this one, even though it's pretty much last years, the little extra papaya on the front makes a lot of difference. Also, Andrea sounded the right amount of bullish.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I knew the livery would go down like a stone with you guys

It’s a double edged sword, they are keeping a similar livery whist they are reigning WCs in one form or another.

To see a total redesign they’ll have to not win either of the 2 championships.

That said, I’d prefer to keep seeing the same livery year on year

What do you think about the speed capabilities of the new cars? I expect the pace will be on par with the 2016 cars.

On the straits they will be much faster then last years, while in corners they will not have the same df as before, plus they will have to lift like 15-25 meters earlier,to recharge the batteries.

They want to save as much weight as posible, hence the black(carbon),but the FIA states the cars should be 55% paint/stickers.

livery-wise, same as last year. boooo
It really doesn't work for me... but that's just me. They did say at one point that they always keep base livery design when they are defending the title... meaning they carry it on into the next year.

My personal opinion:
1. I like the rims and happy they kept the Barcelona shakedown version. Much better than last year/years.
2. I like the front wing and the papaya & black & MasterCard.
3. I like front part of the car, way better than MCL39, which already was a step forward vs MCL38.
And that is. Front car is absolute cinema vs back of the car. So I do not like:
1. The MasterCard & OKX logo placement. Is terrible. There should be only one. That being MasterCard. OKX should go on the huge blackspace under Gemini logo.
2. I don't like that we have a blue allwin and blue DP world on the car. they should have gone for that allwin blue from MCL39. Was a stunning area on the car and in line with the new rims design.
3. I do not like the orange on the sharkfin area. That should have remained black with a papaya number on it.

Most likely, that space is still for sale

That space is likely going to feature cooling louvers in the hot races which prevents them from using sponsor there.

It's an improvement over the last 2 years with the added papaya around the front nose and cockpit, it makes the design more complete. Kinda expected them to stick with it to match the reasoning of always keeping a championship winning livery.
