So they're running the engine detuned, with massive cooling outlets in the side of the car and it's still overheating? Can't imagine what Alonso is thinking right now :?

Honda underdelivering from one.
Where is the surprise? Honda was terrible always when a new regulations comes, why this year will be different? Sorry but, i never trust on them.

If Honda's stupid board was not so wishy washy when it came to its commitment to F1, this engine would be a lot better. Dissolving its F1 department and starting late from scratch was never going to be good.

Audi's engine department also started late from scratch and yet they may have a lot better engine than Honda!

They indicated a data anomaly not overheating.

Alonso said he is positive at the moment acknowledging patience is needed as Newey said in the beginning of the season.

There was a delay with the front wing closing compared to the rear. I wonder if that is by design.

36 laps today is a bit of a disaster when Williams got 145 and red Bull 137 or something like that. Even audi got 122 or something like that.
Honda has some work to do.

Yep, they will probably be beaten even by Cadillac and Audi

I have no doubt that Newey can get the weight down and improve the aero further, but if this engine is homologated in March with the overheating issues unresolved, then I do not see how Aston Martin is beating anyone this season.

I still don’t understand how ADUO will work and how much ICE can evolve through the year

Don't forget, "If a manufacturer's ICE is >3% below the best in performance, they gain additional development time and test bench running after the first five races."

For years Toyota was the epitome of “spend everything, win nothing” in F1. At what point are we going to admit that Aston has them well and truly beat on that front?

Yes I’m curious about the ADUO
But for Honda for now it seems that this is reliability issue.. so how much can they do on that side after march 1st ?
