The race are reporting those stroll comments too, they’re real.

The Race will report on anything. And sorry, but F1 press is really bad about professionalism in confirming sources before reporting things that somebody else has reported. It does seem strange for Marca to have gotten some exclusive and fairly candid and extended interview with Stroll.

The article specifically says ‘asked by the race’ so I hope they’re not telling blatant lies and are reporting on what Stroll has told them.

Always had doubts about Honda so I was barely hyped about Newey. So we have one thing good while the other being wobbly. Dunno if keeping Merc was possible after having Newey though. Maybe all issues are not on the Honda side but still the only customer of an engine supplier mostly absent for four seasons is a blind shot.

They are getting some decent mileage in today at least, 96 laps so far, with no major issues. Alonso also set a personal best not to long ago.

Interesting point. Since Newey moved away from McLaren, there was never interaction with Merc again? Is there anything between them that you know?
I would have interpreted it in the way, that Newey might just want Honda as they are approachable for him regarding packing. At least more than Merc.

Well....I said so as well a year ago, that it will be very, very difficult with Honda. Some people got very upset by this opinion.

Yeah, he just wants his dad to tell Honda to get their act together. Not sure how much of the actual technical stuff he understands either. If any other driver said something similar they would be severely reprimanded, I suspect.

the element is already so flat it is quite hard to see, but it goes down, res. goes up.
