If what is happening at AMR, where god-emperor Newey operates, had been happening in Ferrari... Oh boy this thread would be uncontrollable.

Yikes. If this is true then it explains why Ferrari and especially Charles have been in full "expectation management" mode in the press
Why? I don't follow.

Assuming Newey was ever serious about joining Ferrari, I wonder if the matter of his oversight/power over the PU guys ended up being one of the questions that prevented the deal (remember the "he wanted too much power" rumour?).

The guy is clearly brilliant at his job, but I wonder if he's the right man to have at the dawn of a new PU regulation set. His no compromise approach might be doing more harm than good early on.

No real comments from Leclerc again?

He's definitely keeping his cards close to him this year  But I got the impression this day went very well for them.

By the way... that's 707 laps completed for Ferrari across Barcelona and Bahrain so far with no reliability issues. Hoping I don't jinx it but I'm pretty sure every single other team has encountered at least one issue other than Ferrari. Even if they don't make it to the end of the 2nd test like this, that's mighty impressive.

I'd gladly sacrifice 2-3 years getting things together and dealing with some pain if it meant we could spend the following 2-3+ years as true championship contenders or even favorites.

Although people don't want to admit this, F1 is 90% a team sport. What is happening to AM right now is not only down to Newey, and equally, if they were very strong, it wouldn't all be down to Newey either.

Ferrari would be just fine if Newey joined them because they wouldn't be dealing with the issues AM is dealing as a team. Ferrari are past that. A Ferrari with Newey would have just been a more "dangerous" Ferrari.

Onboard footage? Well, we'll have to wait for it to be released on the F1 YouTube channel, if they even release it at all.

This is it though. Newey will build a car as fast as possible and work on reliability, because you just don't know how reliable it will actually be on race day.

It's also not just that Ferrari did not get Newey, but they lost Cardile and Sanchez at the same time.

I dunno, maybe Serra is the next Byrne.

Correct

On the app they are white, yellow and red.
At the track the tyres are white, white with brackets and yellow. Yellow being the softest available
