Antonelli:
But what exactly did the Mercedes driver learn from his unusual experience watching from the sidelines?

The Italian shared his assessment: “Red Bull looks to be in very good shape. McLaren, a bit like last year, has an impressive front end. Ferrari should also have a good car. If I have to point something out, I think the SF-26 has more understeer compared to Red Bull and McLaren, but they look strong,” Kimi concluded.

Maybe the RB22 will have a front end this year.

Shouldn't these cars have inherently more front end than previous generation ?

But they talked about the '22 car that was overweight and not the RB22, didn't they?
On second review, I agree. That was story about the RB18. The rest was inconclusive since the interview was done at least a month before the car was first assembled.

Nevertheless, the test car itself has all sorts of additional sensors installed that won't be on the race car, so the test car itself is probably overweight, even if only slightly.

The information trickle doesn't really exist now that Marko is gone...He was the number one source of leaks.
Fully agree regarding Marko...a shame we don't get first hand information anymore.

The generally accepted answer is probably yes but that are many layers to it.

In absolute terms: The front wing span is narrower than previous years, so detrimental to load.
But it is likely more cranked (higher angle of attack) when in "corner mode". So in the end it might actually produce more downforce, but that we don't know.

In relative terms: The rear definitly has less downforce, so naturally balance should shift to the front.

Consideration 1: The cars have become lighter so hopefully more nimble.
Consideration 2: Front tire width has decreased, so quite likely less front end grip because of that.
Consideration 3: Teams likely still want to minimize weight transfer to the front while braking, to keep the rears from sliding too much because they want to harvest energy.

What do people expect. New Red Bull driver will come out and say "I'm going to be slow, the car sucks?".

Sure looks like Red Bull is a good car, but don't read too much into PR messages by various team personnel. Perhaps Max and Stroll excluded.

I wish people had a better reading comprehension and stop being The Race's permanent fans literally posting their article on every thread.

Why? Do they fabricate the quotes of the drivers and personnel in them?

I could say the same as you about posters posting short quotes from Twitter handles

If there was justice for 2025 in this world, Max would take his fifth deserving title this year. If not him I think George will take it.

I don't think the world operates in justice unfortunately, but even if it did, there wasn't really any injustice to Max last year. He drove one of the most impressive seasons I have seen in a while, it just wasn't enough to topple the early McLaren dominance.

Has anyone found a video of a RBPT powered car doing a practice start?
