Red Bull RB22

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I agree, it looks like the bodywork folds together to form a duct while still conforming to the cross-section radius limits. Teardrop-shaped in cross section i.e. not an ideal duct shape. The diffuser shape is somewhat revealed there. I wonder what was the primary driver was there--the diffuser shape (tall outboard channels) or the want to create a small duct.

New front wing

Wiggly main plane and a vertical out washing fin added to outboard extemity of the footplateImage

They've also added some downwashing fins (with a slight 'horn' aspect to their tips) to the side of the airbox. Perhaps also some strange vertical fins to halo

Has anyone else noticed how the top of the monocoque sweeps down after the antenna's toward the cockpit? Looks way more extreme than other cars.

Imo, the area with the bulge and "ROKT" logo is smaller than before.

Hard to tell so far but looks like there is more potential to shrink even further

Yes, I've seen this. Has been the case last season as well.

Is this really an undercut, probably need a front-on image to confirm, but from this, it just looks like a more sculpted version of the same 'teardrop' thing
