There was talk Ferrari was waiting for FIA to approve an item? I guess this might be it.
Not sure how complicated this is to copy, it's at the rear of the car so I'd assume it is easier to copy than anything at the front of the car.
It is said that it required Ferrari to move the differential as rearwards as possible, so that the winglet could be placed within the prescribed distance. It will not be easy to copy. The gearbox has to be designed for it.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026, 10:08There was talk Ferrari was waiting for FIA to approve an item? I guess this might be it.

the prototype was marked as a C2, not sure what compound it was though.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026, 10:10Does anyone know which tires did he use? Looked like a test tire?
Leclerc’s lap genuinely looks good to me, also because power aside, Ferrari is fast in the high-load corners, which is good news, even though tire and fuel variables are obviously the main deciding factors.
From the data, you can see that the Maranello team confirms its strategy of heavy energy harvesting at corner 4, followed by significant deployment on the climb toward turn 12. You can also see confirmation of McLaren’s short gear ratios (very evident from this graph).
Doesn't exactly say "power seems fine", it's more like "power aside", as in he doesn't see engine power as the primary reason why the time was made.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑18 Feb 2026, 10:15Leclerc’s lap genuinely looks good to me, also because the power seems fine, but Ferrari is fast in the high-load corners, which is good news, even though tire and fuel variables are obviously the main deciding factors.
