Leclerc’s lap genuinely looks good to me, also because power aside, Ferrari is fast in the high-load corners, which is good news, even though tire and fuel variables are obviously the main deciding factors.
From the data, you can see that the Maranello team confirms its strategy of heavy energy harvesting at corner 4, followed by significant deployment on the climb toward turn 12. You can also see confirmation of McLaren’s short gear ratios (very evident from this graph).
Minimum cornering speeds here are really good. T11 has been a weakness for the team for a while now relying on strong low-to-medium cornering turn-in capability where the likes of Mclaren and Mercedes have been super strong. Looks hopefully like they've improved finally.
