Yes they put in billions of dollars on that projects and they are fuming at Honda for reability problems except that they is nothing major wrong with the engine the problem is gearbox. The delusion ran deep

But why was there such a rapid rpm spike? Alonso was off throttle at the time

get over yourself man. WE deal with letdown every upgrade for the last 3 years. WE wear their merch still. WE still watch them whether they are good or bad. why are YOU so touchy about some semantics haha. its nothing to do with some fantasy. people say the same about their favorite football team and nobody is getting confused about whether or not they are playing football. this is the general team section, not getting deep in some technical stuff.

PU lost connection to the tires on downshift. Be that clutch, transmission, drive shaft, etc.

It seems they're having recurring problems with the hydraulic system. I imagine it could be caused by excessive pressure, and then I remember the video about cavitation. It seems like the perfect suspect. Although I find it impossible to distinguish the symptoms from those caused by a poorly designed gearbox. Or perhaps it's both ...

The situation is worrying, but it has one advantage: there's no reason to be happy or to get carried away. I think that's for the best: any improvement will be a welcome relief.
