Top speed is probably one of the least useful metrics in this new regset, considering that Antonelli's top speed (also very low) nonetheless set fastest lap of testing so far.catent wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026, 22:19Based on what?venkyhere wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026, 22:063rd fastest top speed. Based on the fact that Ferrari had the second lowest top speed today at 324 compared to, for example, Russell and Norris at 331, the fact that they never used 8th gear today and charles saying yesterday theyre not chasing performance, i dont know if Ferrari have any plans on lighting up the timings but maybe that changes tomorrow who knows.
I saw the below graphic earlier today. Can't speak to its accuracy, but if it's correct, Ferrari was not the 3rd fastest in terms of top speed, today.

I was gonna say before, this test feels like 2018 again. The car hasn't felt like this in years, even 2022 wasn't as polarisingFrukostScones wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026, 21:15Davidson said that the Ferrari is quietest car; I think this is a good sign.
Ferrari is like 2017/2018 I think.
One straight isn't enough? I think yesterday test it is because they bolt it, did laps, came in and bolt the normal one and got out. They have everything they need. Yes sure more laps well be better but they didn't want to do that. Let the others think whatever of it. Maybe its a decoy to make everyone spend a ton of money and time for something similar but they will never use it, page 5 of Toto's book.f1Follower wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026, 06:56I would prefer that Ferrari test a session with the new rear wing. This will actually help them to get the data whether is good
There are indications that this Ferrari is last year's Mclaren in the heat.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑20 Feb 2026, 10:53Will we get a user freaking out about multiple LEC laps in the 1.38s in stint 1 of a race sim in 44C?
