Maybe Davidson is just diverting attention but he probably has some inside information from Mercedes, both what kind of power Mercedes teams are probalby running and what the data says.

Big question is would he leak that info or is he just making a random prediction.

Almost completely random I would say. Too many variables at the moment as always with testing.

Just saw the live lap of Norris where he did a mistake in turn 11. They have front grip, turning is good, don't seem down on power, car doing everything he wanted until that mistake and he was within a hundred of Leclerc's time.

Lando is fast (P2 behind Leclerc). Everyone is doing quali runs now, Verstappen and Russell were slower.

Lando had very few running today so I'd say this is very strong pace. He seems to be going for another quali run (third one), usually after that they switch to the race sim. Let's see what he can do.

EDIT: Great lap, 1:32:871 - 2 tenths behind Leclerc but he had a big oversteer moment early in the lap (several mistakes in fact). I'm sure if he had a full day like Leclerc he'd sit in P1 now.

It seems that whoever started to predict the pecking order, predicted it too early. From what I see Mclaren is still unlocking a huge amount of time and without bringing any updates yet.
